If It Be True…

If it be true…

You are the air, I breathe

The food that nourishes me

The water that revitalizes

And, cleanses me.

If it be true…

You are everything

To, for and within me

You are… Me… Ah!

…Is it true?

If it be true…

There is no distinction… Unless

I make one… Unless

I fear me… Unless

I fear you.

If it be true…

You come in peace, in love, in light

Having only those given to you

All you shall ever receive… All you give

Is only that which you know…  You believe.

If it be true…

Love and peace are all you know

All you can ever give to me

All I receive… Must

Flow to, through, within me.

If it be true…

I am your passion

As you are my light

My love, my life

My resting place, my destiny.

If it be true…

I need look no further

I have everything I need

It, being revealed to me

I Am that, which asked me to believe.

Oh, your colours lure me into hidden spaces

I fall down many holes, at first, unperturbed

Until, I hear soft whimpers like puppy dogs

But, no, they are little children

Crying softly into the night

Lost beyond all sight…

Please, please, Guatemala!!

You must recover your missing children

Bring them back from the hell they have been

Forced, coerced and sold into! Yes, sold!

Beyond any and all humanity… How!

Save the ones still left behind

From the wicked, within

Those high orphanage walls

You KNOW the ones!

Who shall ever sleep a solid wink

Until all the children have come home?

God help Guatemala

Honor and love all her beautiful children

As children were meant to be

Nurtured, cherished, valued and protected

Semana Santa!

A celebration of the movement of Christianity

Vibrancy, humility, pageantry

Still, its beauty can’t hide the truth

Wafts of sadness curl around me

Like incense lit for procession

Choking, blinding me

The knowing, so heavy

An unbearable weight

The temperature, so hot… But,

Cold blood runs through my veins

I fear, I shall never return.. For,

I could not bare to hear another person cry

For dead, dying and missing children

Guatemala, you have forever, seared my heart.

Iconic Peggy’s Cove… at Sunset

No matter where my heart may lead me…

It always returns to the sea.

Beauty is Everywhere

Reflective colours, liquid shudders,

One has no idea what it does to me.

Brings me to tears, eliminates my fears…

By God, I am most fortunate,

To live in a place so close to heaven.

See why I share?

Smell the salt air?

Feel the wind in your hair?

Lovers Sunset

Ah… I do so love it here.

I feel

The passion,

Blowing winds,

The storm,

An Awakening.

I hear

The word,

The waves,

The birds

Take flight.

I smell

The salt,

The sea,

The air

We breathe.

I taste it all.

At first,

Now, I bite

I can

Be there,

Be where

I am.

I open wide.

I am

Once, again

Back from

I came.
